FarmVille is a game that a lot of people are playing and a game that people can easily become addicted to. You can get hooked after only logging in once. But you have gotten here because you want to quit. It’s easy really. You are only a couple steps away from being FarmVille free.
Now this technique isn’t specific to FarmVille, it can be used to free yourself from Mafia Wars, Family Feud or any other application that is unnecessarily bogging down your Facebook feed and accessing your personal information. Just follow these steps to make them all go away.
- Click on the ‘Account’ drop down menu in the top right corner of your profile and select ‘Privacy Settings”.
- Down at the bottom of this next page there is a heading titled ‘Applications and Websites’, click ‘Edit you settings’ under it.
- Select the ‘Edit Settings’ button next to ‘Applications You Use’
This is it. Facebook has it hidden as best it can, but this is where you can delete applications forever. So go find FarmVille and Mafia Wars and click the little ‘X’ to delete them. Now you’re free! Or almost….
Everyone knows that as soon as you quit something like smoking, FarmVille or even something like drinking soda, that’s all you see. Everyone around you is smoking or loading up Mafia Wars. Here’s how you can stop that from happening. The next time you see someone with a FarmVille notification in your feed, hover over it and click the little ‘X’ in the corner and select ‘Hide FarmVille’ or the other appropriate label.
