Facebook Places For Android

So Facebook has finally rolled out “Places”. It’s about time. Everyone has already been using Foursquare, Gowalla and Twitter’s location services for a long time already. It’s about time you caught up Facebook. Or have you? I have a little question for Facebook about their new “Places”.

I was all excited the day that Facebook Places was released. I grabbed my phone and booted up the Facebook app to try it out. Then I noticed that there wasn’t a Places tab or button on the app. Hmmm, well I probably just have to update it. So I go to the marketplace and, what? there are no updates. Well how am I supposed to access Places if it’s not even on the Facebook app.

I did a little research on the internet and found out that I can go to the Facebook mobile website and use Places there. Uhhh…No thanks? I’ll just use my nice, easy Foursquare app that automatically updates to Facebook and Twitter.

Why in the world would Facebook not update their mobile app to have a Places button? That is where people are going to be using Places from is their phone, not their home computer! Come on, I thought you guys were better than that.

Do you use Places or other location services? Let me know what you think of this situation in the comments or @DevonSchreiner or @InflectoVita.
